To fulfill course consumption requirements and contribute to degree progress, Woolf mandates that all learning activities be documented in the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS). This encompasses consuming materials, submitting assignments, attending or viewing live sessions, and grading.
Enroll students in degrees
The Canvas LMS is solely responsible for course management and educational activities. Management of degree purchases and enrollments must be conducted within Woolf AMS. To invite students to a verified degree, navigate to the "Degree Students" page in Woolf AMS.
We synchronize user data between Woolf AMS and Canvas LMS using email addresses as identifiers. Therefore, when inviting students to Canvas courses and Woolf degrees, please ensure that you use the same email address. If you need to change a student's email, please make sure you update it on both platforms.
Invited students will receive an email invitation to commence the degree application process on Woolf. They will need to verify their identity and qualifications, sign an agreement with Woolf, and provide a statement of motivation. These steps can be completed either on the Woolf AMS or by utilizing the Woolf Widget on Canvas.
Colleges are obligated to ensure that students who purchase programs are promptly invited to and successfully pass their onboarding process in the AMS. Failure to do so may result in potential compliance issues and complaints.
When you add students to a Degree on Woolf AMS, Woolf automatically enrolls them in Canvas. Invited Degree students will also receive an email invitation to complete the registration of their account on Canvas. At this stage, the student has no access to your courses or account.
Enroll students in courses
Students will not receive an invitation email to join a course if it has not been published on Canvas.
When you add students to courses in Canvas, Woolf automatically enrolls them in related courses on our end after the student's first activity in the course. Our SDK will then track the learning activity of all Canvas students automatically. All students have permanent access to their credentials and can view gathered activity records through the integrated Woolf Widget.

How to invite StudyTrack Students
Students without a degree are enrolled as StudyTrack participants. This system ensures that all learning activity is tracked on Woolf, providing a smooth transition to a Degree when they're ready.
Here’s the efficient way to onboard these students:
- For the first course, utilize the direct invitation feature on the Woolf Dashboard sub-menu.
- Once accepted, students are automatically synced with Woolf, enabling easy tracking and future course additions.
- Future course enrollments for those students follow the standard process via the "People" section in each Course menu.
- College administrators or teachers can directly invite StudyTrack students to Canvas courses.
