Guide to Applying for Education Credential Assessment (ECA)

Before starting your Education Credential Assessment (ECA) application, confirm its necessity with the institution or employer requiring the evaluation. Some universities or employers may only accept assessments from specific organizations.

Applying for Degree Equivalency in the USA

ECAs are conducted by members of NACES (National Association of Credential Evaluation Services).

Recommended Agency: We strongly recommend International Education Evaluations (IEE), a trusted NACES member with whom we have a standing partnership.

Students and partner colleges can apply directly through Woolf's dedicated IEE portal for a streamlined experience: https://myiee.org/university/woolf

This portal simplifies the process and leverages our partnership for optimal results.

We currently do not recommend applying to World Education Services (WES), as it has been unreliable in our experience and does not evaluate degrees issued by private Maltese institutions. We strongly advise using International Education Evaluations (IEE) instead.

For Canadian equivalency, we recommend CES (Apply Here).

  • Select β€˜General Use’ for individual evaluations.

Step 2: Gather Required Documents

  • Identification document (Passport recommended).

  • Proof of name change (if your name differs on your degree and ID).

  • Scanned color copies of your degree certificate and consolidated mark sheets.

Step 3: Complete the CES Application

  1. Create a profile and enter your details.
