1. What is Performance-Based Admission (PBA)?
Performance-Based Admission (PBA) allows you to begin studying at Woolf before being officially admitted into a degree program. As a PBA student, you are officially enrolled in all of your courses, and you are granted full student status in both your college and the Higher Education Institution. However, you are not yet officially matriculated into the degree.
Once you meet the specific PBA criteria, your admission will be automatically confirmed, and you will matriculate into the degree program.
2. What are the criteria to successfully transition from PBA to full matriculation?
To officially matriculate into the degree, you must complete the greater of either:
- ≥250 hours of coursework
- ≥25% of the degree
You must have GPA of 90% or above at the time of full admission.
For example, if you are a PBA student in a master's degree (90 ECTS), then you must complete at least 23 credits (575 hours) and have a score of 90% or above. If you complete 23 credits with a score of 80%, you will not be admitted, but if you complete more credits and improve your score to 90%, then you will be admitted.
3. How is PBA different from full matriculation?
As a PBA student, you have official status within the Higher Education Institution and are fully enrolled in each of your courses. However, you are not yet matriculated into the degree. Once you meet the PBA criteria, you will officially matriculate.
4. Can I earn transferable ECTS credits as a PBA student?
Not at this time. As a PBA student, you will not earn ECTS or academic credit until you fully matriculate. Upon matriculation, all previously completed courses will be recognized for credit.
5. Can I apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) while enrolled as a PBA student?
Yes, you may apply for RPL at any point during your PBA journey, and you may potentially gain full enrollment based on an assessment of your prior qualifications. A fee is applicable for this process. The RPL officers will seek evidence of your career, informal education, and life experiences that might exempt you from the regular admissions criteria and thereby allow for immediate enrollment. For example, if a bachelor's degree is required for admission to master's degree, and you completed most of a bachelor's degree, and then worked in a related industry, these may in combination exempt you from the requirement of having completed a bachelor's degree.
6. What are the benefits of applying for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)?
RPL may allow you to fast-track your full matriculation by having your prior learning and experiences formally evaluated, which may result in immediate full admission into the degree program.

8. Does Woolf have the authority to grant admission through the Performance-Based Admission pathway?

10. What happens if I do not meet the PBA criteria for full enrollment?
If you do not meet the criteria, you will not be matriculated into the degree program, and your courses will not be recognized for academic or transferable credit.
11. How is my progress tracked as a PBA student?
